Lava Dragon and an anime monster? Probably not, but a bad sign I don't know what they are.

The Lava Dragon is prolly gonna be in MM3 and the other thing is a fey called a Swordwing, it should either be a small of tiny

Those guys are not 4E players and the main complaint (from what I see) is the new minis are designed for 4E and do not fit with 3.5 monsters in looks or usage as well as they would like.

my complaint is not box design it is that thing "the blade wing"? I think it looks lame, the lava dragon i don't have a problem with, it's that blade wing thing, it looks silly to me.

Well, I agree, I was really hoping for a first glimpse that made me go "Well...at least this long wait was worth it!"

Not so much so far, but this is really early.

But...ummm...why on God's green Earth bring back a D&D comic book?

Ditto.

Not sure I want the Volcanic Dragon, but I don't have a problem with it. The Fae thing looks like a gundam or a warforged butterfly. Maybe it'll look better in person, not sure what I'd use it for, but at this point - not interested.

Can't really tell what's on the side.

I am hoping we get some nice interesting "critters", the lava dragon could work, but that sword/blade wing thing just looks like another created humanoid thing to fit some specific thingy, likely to just sell another book of monsters. but it's going to be a "frenzied fluttering blade wing" or such, which just seems lameo to me.
